Look at these very neat and unique assortment of vintage doilies used to create a beautiful light shade that brings to mind a handpicked garden bouquet. Oh, I just love them! They may not be everone's style but I think they are oh So pretty! I am not exactly sure but this seems like somewhat of a easy project to me that could possibly be done yourself. So, I might try to find me some vintage dolilies this summer at a yard sale and make me a nice and new lampshade. Oh, I am getting excited! I found these beauties on Etsy so if you want to check out more then click HERE

So, so pretty! I found a bunch of doilies on ebay pretty cheap for my daughter's wedding. Check that out too.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I love the colours you put together. The thought of dollies as a lamp shade who would have thought? Such a wonderful idea!!!

ReplyDeleteHey that book... it's called "Astrid & Veronika" by Linda Olsson... it's called "Let me sing you gentle songs" in New Zealand, but in the US and UK it was given the other title :) You should really read it... it's amazing, touching and very very lovely... a great read!
Have a fab day :)

the images are so pretty! love how they set up each shot.
ReplyDeleteI think they are very pretty too. and since i crochet they would be easy to make. just a bit time consuming to connect all the pieces.
These are so pretty and girly! Those teacups and saucers make my heart go pitter-patter!
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for featuring my light shades! I get so excited whenever anyone takes the time to mention them on their blogs, etc. as each one is a true labor of love for me. A great deal of time goes into them as I hand select each doily from flea markets and thrift shops (and sadly watched the cost go up, haha), create the custom wooden lamp base by hand, and piece each doily together as if they had always been. :) Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic blog you have, I'll be visiting often. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jennifer
