My little girl's 2an birthday is coming up and I want to throw her a really cute and fun Party! I am back and forth on a princess or Alice theme. I think I am leaning more towards the Princess since it seems to be easier to find things to go with this theme, but Alice would be so neat, too! What do you all think?
I would love to buy some of these decorations displayed in the first 2 photos, so if anyone has any information about them, please let me know. I would really appreciate it.
I vote Alice in Wonderland. We went to a ALice tea party at Disneyworld and my 7 year old loved it! We were around all the princesses and she still prefered the Alice tea party.

What a fun sugary thought and yummy colors always to find within your blog. All my rooms in my house are whites and browns and blacks with the exception of my nieces room that I made for her at my home. It is all the colors on your blog and I love either going in there to get a glimpse of yummy or well, just coming to your blog and feeling a smile come over my face as I view all the yum i find here always. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe crepe paper flowers in the first photo are from Lilly Pulitzer's new party line. She has cute invitations too!
ReplyDeleteDana
I just checked....the flowers are 3for $15.00. In the colors shown.
ReplyDeleteHope this helps!
Dana
SUPER cute. love your blog & love your name. we have a wild daisy growing in our house too. =) something special about daisys...have a nice night.
ReplyDeletemy vote's alice btw. =0)
ReplyDeleteI love the 3 balls hanging from the chandelier. It's cuter and easier than the other one. I also noticed the cute dessert crowns made with puff pastry. Darling! And that pink cake, leave it to Martha to do fabulous! Do you suppose the crown stickers are off of Etsy somewhere? Very fun post! Can't wait to see what you do!
ReplyDeleteI agree the princess would be easier, but the Alice one you could have so much fun with too!
ReplyDeleteI've also tagged you here if you want to play. Have a great weekend!
my first comment :D
ReplyDeleteI would go with princess as anything goes with that really. The first photo I believe martha stewart has a how to so you could make them in any color fitting the party. The 2nd& 3rd are from etsy I think.
The alice cake is supercute !
I can't wait to see what you'll come up with !
Hi Dayse thanks for the visit..I love your blog...The flowers in the first photo you can do by your self.I will post it in my blog today.
ReplyDeleteThe crown are from Etsy.Kisses
Princess would be easier...but Alice would make her oh so chic! i LOVE those cupcakes with the eggs on them!!!!! Love all the decorations you found, I will search around and try to find those pictures again. Those big "balls" hanging can also be purchased at Michaels in the Martha section, and mine lets me use a 40% off coupon on them!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dayse!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it all, so girly...but I personally would go with Alice..you could have so much fun with her and all those characters! :) However, princess would probably be easier, I wasn't much help was I? :)
ReplyDeleteI'm 25 I would still love a birthday like the ones above *g* I couldn't possibly choose between the two themes. But good luck with the birthday party I'm positie it will just beautiful :o)
ReplyDeleteI am torn too:( I do love the feel of the princess party better. I am especially in love with the decorations. Those paper flowers hanging from the chandelier are beyond amazing!!! Love them!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely a dream birthday party :) Love the inspiration! If you were doing part/all of the party outside, you could use pretty Chinese lanterns as well (some of the pinks are amazing!) Cupcakes are a lovely idea, too...
ReplyDeleteMy neighbor just gave me a delicious recipe for super simple brownies - they can be made entirely in a cup or mug. Last weekend I made one in less than 5 min, topped it off with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce...for kids, you could do pink sprinkles, though. Let me know if you would like the recipe :)
How fun! I really love that outdoor dining area with the stump stools. So precious!
ReplyDeleteI just posted about my baby's 1st birthday and you should check out the theme I picked.. its a garden party theme..I still didnt plan it yet and nothing really done physically..I just love to browse all the neat ideas for a 1st birthday lately.. I love your theme too!
ReplyDeletei always thought an alice in wonderland party would be the most magical!
ReplyDeleteHi Girly...

I love the flowery cake there at the end: we did a "daisy/flowers" birthday for my daughter's 3rd birthday, and it was adorable. Yellow & white theme colors, flower garland headbands instead of party hats, etc.
ReplyDeleteWe did Princess theme for her 5th, it was fun, but you may want to wait for that 'theme' until she is fully in the throes of princess obsession. At 2 yrs old, she's got a ways to go yet. :)
Hi Sweety,
ReplyDeleteIt's me again...
"The ParteaPlanner" in Orange County has the best ideas...Check out her "Mary Poppins" party last year...Divine! I still have a lot of ideas too though!

I ran across you blog and just love it!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter's birthday is Friday and I have been racking my brain for cute party ideas. Someone needs to write a book with all the cute ideas, don't they? I have actually been planning to use the pom poms and trying to get some creative ideas going this week. Hopefully next week I'll be able to post some cute pics.
Please post pics of your party. I love to be inspired:-)
Your blog is gorgeous! It is definitely difficult to decide which theme is better. I am leaning towards the Princess one as I guess every little girl should have at least one princess party =) I think Alice in Wonderland would be great later on.
ReplyDeleteCharming inspiration-lovely blog. The entire Lilly Pulitzer collection is featured in the 1st picture. It is so fabulous! From paper flowers that can be pinned anywhere to darling princess crowns and invitations. Love the cookies too. They make a great statement on any table.
ReplyDeleteI just love Alice in wanderland and this pictures are really nice.
ReplyDeleteSo, that´s my vote.ALICE!!!
Have a nice party!

Hi: Love the blog Ms. Daisy. Oh how I love parties!! Martha Stewart has some very similar tissue pom-poms kit. They are fairly inexpensive and you can find them at your local Walmart and Michaels. (you do have to make them but are quite easy to do)I have the stamps for the crowns and circle...if you chose to do these, let me know and I will be more than happy to send some your way...Email me at scrapbookdui@aol.com
ReplyDeleteHugs,

oh, either is FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE the idea of Alice in Wonderland themed parties and decor! I actually blogged about this recently, too. ;) Great images!
ReplyDeleteWow, I would have killed for a party like that when I was little. Either would be wonderful but I do think the Alice in Wonderland theme would be more unique. What a wonderful memory this will be!

The pictures are beautiful. Everything seems to be edible even the hanging puffy cotton candy from the ceiling...ALice in Wonderland seems to be all over the place nowadays. This should give me ideas for my boutiques opening next month, but catering to adults:) Ironically the entire boutique is inspired by Alice in Wonderland! Thanks for the amazing post
ReplyDeleteI went the Alice in Wonderland route for my daughter's party - it was wonderful! If you are curious the link is here http://idyllpleasures.blogspot.com/2007/12/sometimes-turning-12-is-easy.html
