Gingerbread House

Hello….yes I have been gone for quite some time now but for some reason while looking through these storybook houses I wanted to share one on my blog today!
This home nicknamed "The Gingerbread House" is located in Brooklyn, NY. Although, it's not really decorated to my liking, I do think it has a lot of potential! The house rents for $26,000 a month or buy it for $10.5 million……let's just say I won't have the option to do either one of these any time soon :(
If you would like to check out the whole story please click HERE
Otherwise, Here is just a little tease of the magnificent residence.

SWAP from New Zealand

Hey….. A while back I had asked if anyone from another country would like to do a Swap of products …of things that we can't necessarily get in our own country!!  I'm just a O' American girl ! Well, Thanks to Penny from New Zealand it happened!  Be sure to check out her Blog as well……..Little Housewive
It was so much FUN….and look at all the goodies I got from her :)
My kids were so excited….they ripped open the package before I could even get to it. My son was about to eat the chocolate cookies (in NZ…they are called biscuits) and I had to stop him just so I could get some photos of everything. Well, it turns out my photos didn't turn out too good, so I had to copy them from Penny…oops!

First up…..Magazines!!  I couldn't wait to look these over!

Then I had asked Penny for a Make-up Palette made by Sleek…..which is a product that we can't get in the U.S.A.
Also, a concealer, lip balms and some ointment!

I think we all know Cath Kidston……and since we can't get her products in the America (or at least I've never see them) I was thrilled to get this little Make-up/coin Bag!!

In a email I had told Penny that I really like Chopsticks but the word was meant to be "Chapstick"…..that was my auto corrector for you! So, I thought it was funny when I saw these in the package. My daughter loved them too….she put them in her hair!

Next is the chocolate cookies I mentioned earlier. When I gave my son the O.K. to have one…..he did not hesitate a second. He ripped the red bag open and you would have thought he was in heaven. He just kept going on about how good they were and almost ate the whole little bag. He had chocolate smeared all over his face and was running around all excited and acting like a crazy person!

My husband was in love with these little treats!

Lastly, is this little Jewelry Tree to hang all my creations on!

And here are the things that I sent Penny

A few Hair Bows from my Etsy Shop…. Daisy Pink Wish

I haven't tried this lip balm yet…. but I've heard a lot of great things about it!

Another product that I've never tried or even heard about before…..so Yes Penny is even introducing me to new things over here!

Just for fun….. 4th of July stickers!!

A Candy Colored necklace….also from my Etsy Shop Daisy Pink Wish

Some Pretty Pink Wilton Baking Cups!

Last but not least….some good o' fashioned M&M's!!!  I haven't tried their White Chocolate either (Gosh, I really need to get out more)
So, girls what do you think? See some things you like? So, what else can Americans not get over here….can you think of some things??

Hempseed Oil & Shea Butter anti-wrinkle moisturizer Face Cream

Over the last 2 years or so, I have been trying to live a more Chemical and Toxic- free life. Although, I know this I can't completely do-able there are ways to help reduce the risk.
I've started with trying to eat more healthy, making my own laundry detergent, shampoo, buying natural make-up and one of my favorites is a face cream recipe I am going to share with you!
The ingredients:
2 oz. Raw Shea Butter
1 oz. Hempseed oil
2-3 drops of Vitamin E oil

Melt shea butter in a double broiler over Medium-Low heat until it becomes very soft and just about melted all the way. Remove from heat- Add oils and mix for 5 mins. Put mixture in the freezer for 10 mins. Remove from the freezer and mix for another 5 mins. Repeat freezer and mixing process if necessary.

*Due to being an all natural product with no preservatives it's best to use product up within 2 weeks. You can refrigerate to keep longer (about a month)

This product can also be used in your hair as a treatment or as a skin moisturizer.
For Hair: Use a small amount on dry hair overnight (concentrate more on the ends or if you have dry scalp be sure to massage in good there as well). Shampoo & condition as normal in the morning.

Benefits of Shea Butter: Helps to neutralize free radical damage reducing fine lines and wrinkles, stimulates collagen production and helps fade age spots. Can also be used to heal sunburns, scars, cracked skin or to soothe skin allergies such as insect bites or Poison Ivy.

Benefits of Hempseed oil: A non-clogging oil that nourishes, evens skin tone, fades blemishes and increase blood circulation. Prevents moisture loss & pre-mature aging skin producing healthy cell production. Also, helps certain skin conditions such as eczema, acne and psoriasis.

Here's a link to where I like to buy my Hempseed and or Shea Butter:  Hippie Butter

I hope you enjoy going natural as much as I do!!
If you have any questions feel free to send a comment!
 * I am no professional or chemist….all this information is from my own experience with these products and the benefits information has came from around the internet.

I have a Girl Crush….Sophia Amoruso from Nasty Gal

Yes….that's right! I have a major girl crush on this lady~ Sophia Amoruso!
This woman is such an inspiration and I can't wait to get a copy and read her story in her new book #GIRLBOSS
She went from dumpster diving to creating an online fashion empire company banging in over 100+ million  That is freaking awesome in my opinion!!! The name of the company is called Nasty Gal!
Has anyone heard of it or heard of Sophia?
It just shows that dreams really can come true…..
but never under estimate that it will take a lot of hard work!

Bewitched

If you liked the original T.V. series of Bewitched then I'm sure you've seen the Bewitched movie featuring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell!
To be honest…..I was very disappointed of the movie!
The only thing that I really enjoyed seeing was the adorable white cottage Home! It was divine! What do you make of it?
